The List displays project data in a clear grid view. You can use it, for example, to quickly identify projects that need action before your next meeting.

Where to Find
In the left-hand sidebar, click List to open the view:
Control which projects are shown by selecting a Date Range, Portfolio or Scenario in the black header bar at the top of your screen.
The list displays all projects and their details that correspond to the selected custom view.
The allocation unit is inherited from whatever setting is saved in the custom Portfolio Designer view.
Toolbar
In the toolbar, you can add projects, search for project names or project keys, create filters, configure the columns for your view or save an Excel file of your view.
Information Panel
Click one of the icons in the right sidebar to open the Information Panel. When you select a project, you can find its Overview, Change Log, Comments and Jira details there.
How to Configure
Filter Your Projects
To filter the List for projects with certain values, click Filter:
You can select from the following fields:
- All custom fields of the Single-select type, e.g., Status
- All custom fields of the Multi-select type
- All custom fields of the Checkbox type, e.g., Need for Decision
- All custom fields of the Resource type, e.g., Deputy Project Manager
- Top level OBS units, e.g., department
- Project Manager
- Business Goal
- Rank Category
- Project Type
You can use several filters at the same time to further limit the results. Learn more in the Ad-Hoc Project Filter article.
Configure Your View
Click Configure Columns on the top left to open a dialog to choose which columns you want to see and in which order.
When adding columns, you can choose from the following:
- All project fields for which you have at least read-only rights (system fields and custom project fields)
- Financial Key Indicators (e.g., Planned Benefit, Planned Total Costs), displayed in the currency set in the left Sidebar under Manage > AdvancedProPremium
- All Actuals key figures from this listProPremium
- Financial key figures from this listProPremium
- Top level OBS units
- The program name
- Last Changed
- Percentage of Completion
- Project Type
You need to select at least one field as a column to be able to save the configuration. You can adapt the width of the columns by using drag and drop.
You can also change the order of the columns by dragging and dropping them in your preferred order.
Milestones and financial events are not available in the List.
Sort Your Projects
Click on a column's name to sort your projects. Columns such as the project name are sorted alphanumerically. Columns containing details from project fields of the single-select and multi-select type (such as Stage Gate) are sorted by the order of their options. Administrators manage these values under Manage > Custom Project Fields.
Save Your Configuration as a Custom View
You can save every configuration of the List as a Custom View. Click the custom view name next to the title List to select a different view or add a new view. To edit the view name or delete the view, click the three dots next to the view name. Depending on your user rights, you can also define access rights to the view for users and user groups.

Exporting the List
If you have the Export Data user right, you can export your configured List by clicking Export to Excel in the toolbar.
If you export the field Last Changed, it may be that the time of the last change is missing from the Excel file. To fix this, configure the date and time settings in your Excel program to show both the date and the time.

Single Projects
Editing Project Details
You can quickly edit the following project fields by clicking them in the List:
- All project fields of the Text (single line) type (e.g., Project Key or Name)
- All project fields of the Single-select type (e.g., Status)
- All project fields of the Multi-select type
- All project fields of the Number type
- All project fields of the Resource type (e.g., Deputy Project Manager)
- Business Goal
- OBS fields
- Project Type
To edit further project fields, open the details view of a project by clicking the square icon that you see when moving your cursor over the project.
Delete
To delete a single project, move your cursor over the project and click the three dots at the end of the line. Next, select Delete.
Advanced Options
Rank Project by ScoreProPremium
In the List, you can now move single projects to the rank that they should have based on their project score. Move your cursor over the respective project and click the three dots at the end of the line. Next, select Rank Project by Score.

Apply from/Submit to Plan of RecordProPremium
In the List, you can now apply or submit single projects from and to the Plan of Record when working with scenarios. In a scenario, move your cursor over the respective project and click the three dots at the end of the line. Next, select the desired option:

Multiple Projects
Bulk Edit
To quickly update multiple projects, you can edit project fields of the single-select type as well as OBS fields and the Business Goal for several projects at the same time. Check the boxes of all projects that you want to update and then select Edit in the toolbar:
To select all projects displayed in the list, check the box to the left of the column headers.
Bulk Apply from/Bulk Submit to Plan of RecordProPremium
To quickly apply a group of projects from the Plan of Record to a specific scenario, make sure you are in the desired scenario view in the List.
Check all of the boxes of the scenarios you want to apply the Plan of Record to. In the toolbar, click Apply from Plan of Record.
To submit a group of projects in a specific scenario to the Plan of Record, make sure you are in the desired scenario view in the List.
Check all of the boxes of the scenarios you want to submit to the Plan of Record. In the toolbar, click Submit to Plan of Record.
In order to see these entries in the toolbar, you need to open a scenario first.
Bulk Comment
To write an identical comment on multiple projects at the same time, select the projects which you want to comment on, and click Comment in the toolbar. In the dialogue, type your comment. Click Comment to add your comment to all your selected projects.
Project managers will be notified of the comment through our project manager email notifications.
This function can be used to, for example, remind multiple project managers at once to update their projects with a single message.
Delete
To delete several projects at once, check the boxes on the left side of the projects and click Delete. To select all projects displayed in the list, check the box to the left of the column headers.
Fast Project Updates
If you export your projects to Excel and edit them, you can then import your changes back into Meisterplan quickly and easily with the Quick Import for Projects. Please be aware that this import does not recognize all fields from the List and therefore will not import unrecognized fields.
