Flexibly manage user permissions and get a transparent overview of rights by organizing users into groups.
Note: If you were a Meisterplan client before the release of the User Groups, you will find help on how to customize your groups in the article Replacing Automatically Created User Groups. If you would like to replicate the previous access levels, you can find an overview of the respective rights here.

How to Replace Automatically Created Groups
If you were a Meisterplan client before the release of the User Groups, you will find help on how to customize your groups in the article Replacing Automatically Created User Groups.
How to Configure New Groups
When you configure a group, the view is divided into the following sections:
- General
- Administrative Rights
- Integration Rights
- Project and Program Rights
- Detailed Project and Program Rights
- Project Field Rights
Before you configure these groups, we recommend that you clarify which users should add and update data in Meisterplan, and if they should use the Plan of Record or a scenario.
If you're using our Lean PPM™ framework and want to configure these rights to fit the Lean PPM™ responsibilities, the Set User Rights by Lean PPM™ Role article shows you how to do this.
General
Here you can define the Group Name and assign or remove Users to the group. You can also determine whether the user group has access to the Change Log for projects.
Users can be assigned to multiple groups. Permissions configured through groups are additive. This means that a user will have all permissions that are granted for at least one of the groups they are assigned to, even if that right is not granted for other groups they are assigned to.
Example: A user is assigned to Group A and Group B. Group A has been granted a certain right while Group B has not. In this case, the user will have this right.
