Teams in the Jira and Task ConnectorsProPremium

With our newest extension to the Task and Jira connectors, you can now display data not just on a role, but also a team basis, right in your Meisterplan system. This update ensures that the information shown in your Meisterplan system automatically transferred via the Task Connector accurately reflects your teams' real working methods, allowing you to adjust if needed.

How to Switch from Roles to Teams

With the Jira Connector, Jira teams can now be assigned directly to Meisterplan teams - not just roles. To make sure that the Jira Connector compares Jira teams with Meisterplan teams, we recommend the following steps:

1. In Meisterplan, create a team with the name of the previously used role and assign team members to ensure that the capacity is taken into account correctly in reports.
2. Change the name of the role to avoid confusion (this step is optional).
3. Transfer the role allocations to the team in all projects that are linked via the Jira or Task Connector. The easiest way to do this is by using the Staff Role Mode.
4. (Optional) Delete the role so that the new team does not display the wrong project role.

From now on, Meisterplan will match the Jira team to the Meisterplan team by default.

Match Teams via the Task API

The same team assignment is now also possible via the Task API, for example, for tools like Azure DevOps or Asana. In the article Connecting Your Tools via the Task API, you can learn how to connect your preferred project management tools with Meisterplan.

Velocity Settings Now in the Resource Pool

The velocity setting for teams and roles has been moved to the Resource Pool. There, you can define the story point velocity for each role or team to enable a more detailed comparison of allocations and efforts.
