Configure and Display Planning IntervalsProPremium
We're excited to share that you can now manage custom planning intervals and see them reflected in the Portfolio Designer (Beta), Roadmap, and Task Timeline. Users can now easily visualize PI cycles on a timeline and see what topics are inside each interval. This allows portfolio coordinators in scaled agile environments to create feasible plans for deliveries within the next cycle while maintaining an overview of capacity and inter-team dependencies.
To add a new planning interval, click Add Planning Interval under Manage > Planning Intervals.
Next, in the Time Segments section, define individual periods for the planning interval so that, when viewing the intervals, you can see at a glance which topics are planned and implemented in each period.
You can find all details in the article Configure Planning Intervals.
Display Planning Intervals
In the Portfolio Designer (Beta), the Roadmap, and the Task Timeline, you can use the respective configuration dialog or toolbar to select which planning interval should be displayed.
Please note that planning intervals are shown on the timeline for visualization purposes only and do not directly affect schedules or deadlines.
Required User Rights
To add, edit, and delete planning intervals, your user group needs the Planning Intervals right under System Administration > System Configuration.
