We've updated Meisterplan - check out what's new!
Connect Asana Out of the BoxProPremium
Integrating project management tools with Meisterplan just became simpler. The Extended Integration Hub lets you link your project management tools with Meisterplan out of the box, without complex setup processes or custom API work. Import task data, such as effort and assignees, and synchronize it with projects in Meisterplan so all relevant planning data is in one place. This initial release supports Asana, with additional tools like Wrike and Microsoft Planner Premium rolling out in the coming weeks.
Open the Portfolio Designer, the List, or the Board view, and click Add in the toolbar. Then select Import Projects > Asana.
Add a new Asana link and choose the appropriate workspace and name. Then click Continue in the top right. Next, select the projects you want to import and click Import.
You can find all details in the article Import Projects from Asana.
Extended Integration Hub
The Extended Integration Hub offers a new, central way to connect external tools directly to Meisterplan. At launch, integrating with Asana is available; additional integrations will follow step by step.
The new hub replaces the previous Task Connector, whose functions have now been migrated into the extended Integration Hub. This makes managing connected tools easier and more consistent going forward.
What Happens to My Already Connected Tools?
If you previously connected your tools to Meisterplan using the old Task Connector, these connections will remain fully intact. You will continue to find all existing tool connections under Integrations > Connected Tools > Project & Task Management Tools, as well as in the corresponding tool tile.
No further action is required.
Jira Import User Becomes Automation User
To allow Meisterplan to automatically update project data from connected tools, define an Automation User under Integrations > Connected Tools > General Settings. This user needs the appropriate permissions and is used for all integrations in the Extended Integration Hub (including Jira).
You can learn more about the Automation User in this article.
Prerequisites
To connect your project management tools to Meisterplan via the Extended Integration Hub, activate the feature in the left sidebar under Integrations > Connected Tools.
In addition, you need an Automation User that has been set up beforehand and is used for integration processes.
Required User Rights
To use the Extended Integration Hub, your user group must have the following rights:
- The checkbox under Integrations > Connected Tools > Extended Integration Hub is enabled
- Under Integrations > Connected Tools > Project & Task Management Tools, at least the Use permission to view task details and import projects from already connected tools
- The Configure permission to link new tools
- Under Integrations > Import & Export, the Import Data right
