Manage User Rights By Using OBS-Dependent Project Edit PermissionsAll Editions
Make administering user rights in Meisterplan that much easier by using OBS-dependent project edit permissions. Now, you can give your department heads the exact edit rights they need without assigning them as a Project Manager on a case-by-case basis. At the same time, you protect your data from accidental changes.
Under Manage > User Groups, select a user group you have already added or create a new one (e.g., Department Heads). Then click the pencil icon at the end of the row to open the detail view of the selected user group:
Select the user right Projects under Same OBS As Logged-In User's Linked Resource under Project and Program Rights > Edit Projects and Programs:
Then click the arrow under OBS and select the appropriate OBS (e.g., Department) from the displayed list:
All users linked to a resource and assigned to the appropriate user group can now edit only the projects that have the same OBS (or underlying OBS unit) as the OBS or OBS unit assigned to the user's linked resource.
Prerequisite
The prerequisite for granting OBS-dependent permissions is that the user is linked to the respective resource. Learn more about this in the article Configuring User Accounts.
For more information about user rights with OBS-dependent permissions, see the article Manage User Groups.
