New User Groups LayoutAll Editions
Our latest update ensures that you can more effectively manage what user groups have which user rights in Meisterplan. A more structured layout lets you focus on specific, related user rights, so that you can streamline your administrative process and focus on what matters most – planning.
Under Manage > User Groups, create a new or open an existing user group. The view presents the permissions clearly structured and organized into easy-to-navigate sections.

Automatic Migration
There is no need for you to take any manual actions during the release. Your existing user group configurations will be migrated automatically and fully retained.
Extended Access to Permissions
With the new layout, you can now define permissions that previously could not be configured directly within user groups. Specify which views in the left sidebar a user group can access, which portfolios they can view and edit, or which scenarios are available to them for editing.
Finer Granularity of Existing Permissions
Some permissions that were previously granted together are now available individually. This allows you to manage specific rights in a more targeted and independent manner.
The Edit Resource Pool, Absences, OBS, Calendars and Skills right has now been split into:
- Edit Resource Pool and Absences
- OBS
- Skills
- Calendars
The Manage Project Fields, Project Types/Project Configuration, Navigation and Advanced right has now been split into:
- Project Fields
- Project Types and Their Project Details, Overview, and Add Dialog
- Define Navigation for User Groups
- Global Settings, Project Phases and Financial Categories under Manage > Advanced
Renaming of Permissions
In the course of the release, some permissions were renamed to present their function more clearly and consistently. The following overview shows which names have changed:
