Availability All Editions
We are excited to introduce the latest addition to our beta program: allocations by project phases. In the initially read-only mode, resource, team, and role allocations are displayed by project phases in the Project Details.
How the Feature Works
The allocation mode Phases is an initially read-only beta feature that displays allocations by project phases. Each phase is color-coded, making it easy to get a quick overview.
Currently, you can view allocations by project phases only in the Project Details, but not edit them yet. In the next iteration, you'll be able to edit allocations directly in the new Phase mode, and use the feature in other views.
To learn more about working with project phases, see the article Milestones, Project Phases and Dependencies.
Prerequisites
To use the new allocation mode in the Project Details, beta access must be enabled both for your system (by administrators) and in your user profile. You can find all details in the article Meisterplan's Beta Program.
Where to Find
Select a project in your Meisterplan system, open the Project Details and select the tab Allocations. Next, in the toolbar under Allocation Mode, select Phases:
Future Development of Allocations By Project Phases
We are continuously improving our features. Planned updates to the new phases mode include (in no particular order):
- Edit allocations directly in the new phases mode by clicking the relevant phase of a resource, team, or role
- Easily capture deviations between Actual Time Worked and allocations per project phase using aggregated actuals
- Link milestones to allocations and keep adjustments under control at all times
- Move milestones to stretch or shrink related allocations and to extend or shorten phases
