We've updated Meisterplan - check out what's new!
Connect Project Management Tools with Meisterplan via the Task ConnectorProPremium
We are excited to announce the new Task Connector that allows you to quickly connect and see task data from any third-party project management tool. This makes it easy to align project-level plans with task-level estimates, across all project management solutions you have in place – all in one convenient location within your Meisterplan system. Connect your preferred PM tools using our new Task API and get the data you need directly in the Information Panel in Meisterplan. This way, project teams can continue working the way they want, while PMOs are sure to get the data they need.
In order to be able to see details from external task or project management tools in the Information Panel, you must first connect the tool to Meisterplan via the Task API. Learn more in the article Connecting Your Tools via the Task API.
As soon as you have connected Meisterplan and your tool(s), and linked the correct projects and resources, you will see a comparison between the allocations in Meisterplan and the effort in the external tool in the information panel of the linked project. This way, you can quickly take note if the effort in your project management tool is far higher than the allocations in Meisterplan and take appropriate countermeasures. Learn more in the article Comparing External Tool Effort in the Information Panel via the Task Connector.
Connecting the Task API via Zapier
You can also connect your task or project management tools via Zapier. This platform enables you to build automated workflows between cloud-based tools. Learn more in the article Zapier - Overview & Templates.
Changes to User Rights
With this release, the right Manage Jira Connector under Integration Rights has been renamed to Manage Task Connector. Additionally, there is now a second user right for the Task Connector, named Link Projects and View Task Details via the Task Connector.
Changes to the Jira Connector
The Jira Connector, as well as all of your configured Jira links and linked projects will remain unchanged. In the information panel, the connection to Jira will now be displayed with a different icon:
All Jira links, which had been added under Integrations > Jira Connector, can now be found under Task Connector. You can also access the configuration of your Jira links there.
With this release, for all user groups that had the right Manage Jira Connector active, both new user rights will automatically be activated. Therefore it will be quickly ensured that these users continue to have the ability to manage the Jira connector.
All other user groups that had no rights for the Jira connector will automatically be granted the right Link Projects and View Task Details via the Task Connector so that they can, like before, see Jira details in the information panel.
