Configure Resource DetailsAll Editions
We’re excited to announce the new Resource Details, which allow you to flexibly configure custom fields, sections, and tabs to manage resource data based on your organization’s needs. This update helps resource managers quickly and easily maintain information about their resources.
To open the Resource Details, navigate to the Resource Pool, hover over the respective resource, and click the square icon at the end of the row:
Preconfigured Default View of the Resource Details
When first opening the Resource Details, you will see a preconfigured default view including tabs, sections, and predefined fields. All of your existing resource data will be automatically transferred.
The preconfigured default view includes the three tabs Details, Availability, and Allocations. You can rename, delete, or customize the Details and Availability tabs at any time. The Allocations tab is always present and cannot be deleted.
If the default configuration does not fit your needs, you can customize it at any time by clicking Configure Details:
Use Custom Resource Fields for Your Planning
Under Manage > Custom Fields > Resources, you can add and edit your own resource fields, just as you do with project and program fields. These fields can be used in the configuration of the Resource Details and in the Resource Overview (Beta).

A number of system fields are also available for resources, such as Resource Manager or a resource’s start and termination date.
Customize Resource Details Flexibly and According to Your Needs
Under Manage > Types & Configurations > Resource > Resource Details, you can define which information is displayed in a resources's details and how it is structured. Customize your resource details view by adding, renaming, and arranging tabs, sections, and fields as needed using drag and drop.
Once you complete your configuration, the new view is automatically applied to all resources. The settings you configure apply system-wide for all users. Depending on their individual permissions, users will only see the tabs and sections they have access to.

Now in Beta: Information Panel for Resources
The Information Panel for Resources (Overview, Change Log) is currently in the beta phase. Features and content may still change. For more information, see the article Information Panel for Resources (Beta).
To use these features, beta access must be enabled both for your system (by administrators) and in your user profile.
Resource Overview & Change Log (Beta)
The Resource Information Panel offers the following features:
- Overview: Here, you can see all information about a resource that you have selected for this view.
- Change Log: Here, you can see changes to resource fields in chronological order.
Open the Resource Pool, select the desired resource, and open the Resource Details view. Then click the Information icon (i) in the right-hand sidebar to open the Information Panel. There, you can expand or collapse the Resource Overview and Resource Change Log.
