Push Meisterplan Projects as Epics to JiraProPremium

Move seamlessly from project planning in Meisterplan to execution in Jira. Portfolio Coordinators and Project Managers can create a new Jira Epic directly from the corresponding Meisterplan project and automatically link the two. This creates a smooth transition between tools without switching applications or entering the same data twice.

Select a project in the Portfolio Designer, List, or Board view that is not yet linked to Jira. Then, open the Information Panel via the link icon or open the Task Timeline tab in the Project Details view, and select Jira.

Select a Jira link and click Continue. Then open the Create New Epic in Jira tab and click Create & Link Project in the upper-right corner.

Meisterplan will then create a new Jira Epic and automatically link it to the selected Meisterplan project. For more information, see the article Link Meisterplan Projects to Jira Epics or Create Jira Epics from Meisterplan Projects.

Prerequisites

To create Jira Epics, a Jira space must be configured for the Jira link being used. In addition, the Meisterplan project must not already be linked to a Jira Epic.

The following prerequisites must also be met:

• The automation user must have read access to the Meisterplan fields that are synchronized via the Jira link.
• The user logged in to Jira must have permission to create Jira Epics and edit the mapped Jira fields.

Required User Rights

To link a project with Jira, your Meisterplan user account must have the following rights:

• Manage > User Groups > Integrations > Connected Tools > Project & Task Management Tools > Use
• Edit Rights for the desired scenario or Edit Plan of Record
• Manage > User Groups > Project & Resource Planning > Projects > Add Projects
• The Meisterplan project you will link must belong to the current portfolio
