New Goals ViewProPremium

Welcome to our new Goals View: easily define and structure your organization’s objectives with main goals and subgoals, ensuring your projects contribute to the bigger picture. You can add further information such as goal owner, start and end date, or a relevant department. These further details help you provide more specificity to your organization’s goals, keeping your portfolio aligned.

Click Goals in the left sidebar. Then, select Add Goal to add one of your organization's goals.

All existing Goals will have been migrated to the new Goals view. There, you can adjust your existing goals with all of the newly available functionality.

Please note, if you are in a portfolio that uses an OBS filter, the Goals displayed in the Goals view will be filtered by OBS. Simply select a portfolio without an OBS filter to see all of your goals.

Goals, not the projects assigned to said goals, are filtered in this view. Therefore, it can be helpful to create a new portfolio that has specific OBS filters, so that you only see the goals relevant to your department.

New User Right

To adjust goals in the new Goals View, you must have the correct user right enabled. Go to Manage > User Groups > Administrative Rights and select Manage Goals.

This will allow you to add, edit, and delete your organization's goals.

The Manage Goals right is automatically activated for all users who previously had access to the Goals View under Manage > Customizable Navigation.

Renaming of "Business Goals" to "Goals"

With this release, the field Business Goals has been renamed to Goals for a more consistent user experience. This change reflects the diversity of industries that successfully use Meisterplan.

Rearranged Left SidebarAll Editions

The left sidebar has been rearranged to more logically reflect which views are used together. To this end, Goals has been moved up, and the Resource Pool has been shifted down.
