Meisterplan has been updated - check out what's new!
Improved Management of Custom Project FieldsAll Editions
We have refreshed the Manage Project Fields view. Some of the available field types have been renamed to make them easier to understand. Additionally, we've updated the view itself to make it even easier to interact with. Open Manage > Custom Project Fields to access your project fields.
Learn more about project fields in the article Manage Custom Project Fields.
Renamed Field Types
We have renamed some project field types so that they are easier to understand. Here, you can see the old and new names:
Old | New |
Boolean | Checkbox |
Date | Date |
Decimal | Number |
Lookup | Single-select |
Integer | Number |
Text | Text (multi-line) |
URL | URL |
Currency | Currency |
String | Text (single-line) |
Lookup Values, which are the values you can choose for a project field of the type lookup, have been renamed Options.
An overview of field types can be found in the article Project Fields: Data Types and Maximum Sizes.
Renamed API Name
In Meisterplan, every project field has both a regular display name, as well as a name that is used in the API for the exchange of data. This has been renamed API Name from the previous Column Name. This name is automatically filled in when filling in the display name. The API Name is unchangeable after you first save the project field.
Combined Number Field for Integers and Decimals
The previous project fields Decimal and Integer have been combined, so that there is now only the field Number. When you select this field, you can specify if the number will have decimal places, and if so how many. You cannot change the number of decimal places after you save the field.
All Decimal and Integer fields in existing Meisterplan systems have been updated to the new Number type. There is nothing further that you need to do.
