We've updated Meisterplan - check out what's new!
Absences and Part-Time Working ModelsAll Editions
With this update, you can separately add part-time working models and absences to differentiate between a resource's short-term absences, such as due to illness or vacation, from changes to their working hours, such as changing to a part-time contract. You will also be able to see absences directly in the Team Planner, so that you can determine if an employee is overloaded with work or simply will be absent for a period of time.
To enter a resource's part-time working model or their absences, access their Resource Details in the Resource Pool. There, you can manually enter in absences or part-time working models. Select Apply in the upper right hand to save your changes. Or use the quick import templates. Learn more in the article Resource Pool - Resources.
Once these absences are entered, you will be easily able to view them in the Team Planner:
Migration of Existing Data
Prior to this update, in the Resource Details, there was only one section to account for absences and capacity. This means that absences caused by illness or vacation were displayed with a "0.00%" capacity.
To increase visibility and clarity, the Absences section has been split into two different sections: Part-Time Working Model and Absences.
To more accurately reflect employment histories, after this release you must migrate existing data. This only applies to Meisterplan systems with resource information added prior to March 20th, 2023
You can easily update your historical data our new Quick Import. For more information on this, please see our migration article.
Data Migration is Not Time Sensitive!
You do not have to immediately migrate your data, and can plan your migration at your own pace. When you would like to benefit from the new functionality, migrate your data at your own convenience.
New and Updated Quick Import
We have created one updated import, and one new import. The Resource Absences import has been updated to help you only import resource absences (e.g.,. half days, full days, etc.), and the quick import for Part-Time Working Models allows you to account for resource's capacity changes more accurately.
