We've updated Meisterplan - check out what's new!
Jira Connector for Roles and
ResourcesPro Premium
Align your planning in Meisterplan with your planning in Jira for visibility into agile work and to quickly resolve any overallocations.
You can now get more detailed information by comparing effort and allocation per role and team, resource and assignee or as a total amount. In addition, you can save time by configuring a link for each department or team rather than configuring a link for each project as before.
To configure a Jira link, click Manage in the left Sidebar and select Jira Connector. Open an existing link or add a new link and check the Add Configuration Details box.
Once you have configured a link, you can use it to link existing projects with Jira or import epics and stories from Jira as Meisterplan projects. When you open the Information Panel of a project, you will see a comparison of the Meisterplan allocations and the effort in Jira.
Find more details in the Configuring Jira Links article.
What’s New?
- Configure a Jira link for each team or each department rather than for each project.
- Define for each link how you want to compare allocations and effort, e.g., by team
- Define the velocity for each link and calculate with different velocities for different teams, even within the same project.
- The Predicted Finish Date function in the Information Panel will be removed.
- Under Manage > User Groups > Integration Rights, there is the new Manage Jira Connector user right.
- With this right, you can define if a user group can create and configure Jira links under Manage > Jira Connector.
- To import new projects from Jira, the user groups need to have the Import and Export Data right in addition to the Manage Jira Connector
What is the Effect on Existing Jira Links?
Your existing Jira links will still work after release, you just need to authorize access to Jira again. The links will be updated to fit the new Jira Connector:
- If you have configured individual settings for projects (e.g., effort, velocity) under Jira Details, an additional Jira link for each combination of Jira system, effort and velocity was added under Manage > Jira Connector for each configuration
- Each Jira link was given a default name (e.g., "Jira link 1", "Jira link 2"...) that you can change at any time.
We recommend to change the generated link names to more meaningful names and check the configuration of each.

Ad-Hoc Project Filters (Beta)All Editions
The beta version of our ad-hoc filters can be used as a way to ensure you see just the information you need.
Open the Project List and click on Filter (Beta) in the toolbar. Click on Add Filter below the toolbar and choose the field for the filter. Choose the values for which you want to filter. With the initial beta release, you will be able to filter lookup fields in the Project List, e.g. Status. You can also combine several filters.
Your filter settings are personal and will remain, even if you leave the view or log out and go back to the project list at a later point.
Learn more about the filters in the Ad-Hoc Project Filter (Beta) article.
