Import Milestones from JiraProPremium

Focus on planning and executing your projects, not on data maintenance, by automatically importing milestones to your Meisterplan via the Jira Connector. This update ensures that the latest milestone information flows seamlessly from agile teams to your portfolio management, keeping everyone on the same page.

Open a Jira link under Integrations > Jira Connector and check the box for Import Milestones from Jira under Milestones & Matching Resources. 

Every night and upon opening a project, milestones are automatically imported into Meisterplan. This includes both new and changed milestones.

Prerequisites

To access Jira links, you need the Configure rights under Integrations > Task Connector.

To import milestones into Meisterplan, the Jira Link Owner needs to have the following rights in addition to the Task Connector > Configure right:

• Under Project and Resource Planning > Edit Project and Programs, at least the Mine right.
• Under Project and Resource Planning > Edit Project and Programs, the Add, Edit, and Delete Milestones and their Dependencies right.
• Under Integrations, the Import Data right.
• Under Views & Areas, the Edit Plan of Record right.

Jira Link Owner

Additionally, you need to configure a Jira Link Owner who for automated imports from Jira into Meisterplan. This is a Meisterplan user that has the necessary user rights for importing milestones and actual time worked into Meisterplan. Additionally, these imports are recorded under their name in the Change Log.
