This product enhancement is a work in progress. Features, design and planned release date are subject to change. It will first be released in the SaaS version of Meisterplan, the On-Premise release will follow.
We are excited to announce the next improvement to our Task Connector, which will enable you to see where allocations in Meisterplan are lower than the effort planned in the connected tool across your entire portfolio. With a few new system fields, you will be able to configure a portfolio-wide overview of this deviation in different views like the Project List.
Additionally, we will update our Jira Connector to be as seamless as the Task Connector is in regards to the connection process.

How Does This Change Help You
- Quickly identify at-risk projects based on discrepancies in resource allocations between Meisterplan and connected tools (e.g., Jira), and assess if your overall portfolio plan is feasible regarding strategic planning and real-life project execution.
- Configure the threshold for highlighting only the critical allocation deviations, and filter for relevant projects.
- Reduce administrative effort for Meisterplan users by enabling a single login via API token when creating a Jira Link instead of requiring individual logins.
- Easily manage who can view task data insights in Meisterplan even if users don’t have their own Jira account.
What Will Change
- To see the Jira details in Meisterplan, users will no longer need to access their own Jira account. Instead, you can connect to Jira using one dedicated Jira account, and all Meisterplan users with the necessary user rights will be able to see the Jira details in the Information Panel.
What Do You Need to Do Before Release
- By December 1st, you will need to update the login information for your Jira Connector:
- Set up a dedicated Jira account with read-only rights to the relevant projects and create an API or access token.
- In Meisterplan, go to Integrations > Jira Connector, and for each configured Jira Link, add the access credentials of your Jira token.
