This article describes how to set up a pivot report in Smartsheet based on Meisterplan allocation data.
- Create a Smartsheet report in the report view to create a pivot report based on Meisterplan allocation data in Smartsheet. When this report is invoked in Meisterplan, it will be generated and opened in Smartsheet.
- Alternatively, you may use the Excel export feature of the Pivot & Charts: Projects, Allocations and Capacities report to export your plan and import it in Smartsheet. This is detailed in the Setting up an Allocation Report section of the How Smartsheet and Meisterplan Work Together article and basically supports exporting the same data as with a Smartsheet report, yet with the full flexibility of the integrated Pivot & Charts reports.
Please note that the maximum amount of data that can be passed to Smartsheet this way is limited to 5000 lines of data. The required number of lines depends on the selected Report Type and the amount of projects, resources and allocations to import:
- With the Projects by Resource setting, one line will be required per resource and an additional line will be required for each project a resource is allocated to.
- With the Resources by Project setting, one line will be required per project and an additional line will be required per allocated resource for each project.
