This article lists client system requirements for the Meisterplan application and integrations.
Supported Client Software
Users can access Meisterplan either via one of the following third-party browsers, or via the Meisterplan Client Desktop App (see below).
Web Browser
We support the following browsers:
- Chrome, stable version (recommended browser for Windows or Mac OS)
- Microsoft Edge (Windows 10)
- Internet Explorer 11 (not supported on Windows 10; for better performance, try our desktop app (see below))
Meisterplan Client (Desktop App)
As an alternative to the browsers listed above, you can access Meisterplan via our Meisterplan Client. This desktop app is optimized for performance and security. Users can download and install it using the following link:
During installation you will provide the URL for your Meisterplan system.
Note: If your system is hosted on-premise, the URL must contain the directory "webapp" at the end of the URL, (i.e., meisterplan.yourcompany.com/webapp/ in which you replace "meisterplan.yourcompany.com" with the appropriate URL for your system).
Meisterplan Client runs on Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8, Windows 8.1, and Windows 10. Please note that it currently does not support Single Sign-On via SAML 2.0.
Connectivity
A WebSocket connection is required for real-time updates between clients. Alternatively, an SSE-capable browser (server-sent events) such as Chrome or Meisterplan Client can be used to receive updates. Currently, Internet Explorer does not support this feature.
Microsoft Office
In order to import and export data with spreadsheets you will need Microsoft Excel for Windows. The following versions are supported:
- Office 2007
- Office 2010
- Office 2013
- Office 2016/365
Microsoft Excel for Mac is not supported.
Universal Database Connector
The universal database connector comes as a Java program and therefore requires the Java Runtime:
- Oracle Java Runtime 1.8
- The program is not compatible with Java 11
