I just requested a new password, but it doesn't seem to work when I try to log in the next time. Why?
Please make sure that you're also giving the right username when logging in (your username might be different from your email address). If you just requested a new password and got logged in automatically, you can see your username as part of the last entry of the Main Menu.
I don't see a "Forgot password" link on the login screen. Why?
For self-hosted installations of Meisterplan, the "Forgot password" link is only displayed once an SMTP server has been configured. Click here for more information on Configuration.
Can I import data into a scenario (vs. into the plan of record?)
No, regardless of the import source (Excel, ODBC,...), data can only be imported into the plan of record. As a work-around, you could first create a new scenario as a means of backing up the plan of record, then import your data. Then, if you want to restore your previous data again, you submit the new scenario as the plan of record.
During data import, I get an error message about compatibility problems, even though I set up the ODBC driver successfully. Why?
A frequent cause of that error message is the usage of the wrong version of the ODBC driver (32bit vs. 64bit). Further information is available at the ODBC driver Help Center page.
No data is shown when I view a report of the "Pivot & Charts" type. Why?
This can be the case when no or the wrong time periods (see "Report Options" here) were selected when the report was created. For testing purposes, you can create a new report of the same type and make sure that the right time periods are selected.
How can I export or print the Gantt chart?
There are two options for showing the Gantt chart outside of Meisterplan:
1) Use our Tableau Online template.
2) Take a (printable) screenshot.
If you use Chrome browser, that screenshot can show an even larger part of the timeline. Here's how to do that:
Open the Chrome developer tools (F12) and select the device toolbar:
Then, select "Responsive" and enter the resolution of your choice.
To take the screenshot, click the device toolbar menu on the right...
... and select "Capture full size screenshot".
